Steve Chivasa
Steve Chivasa has worked in the university sector as a Lecturer and Research Scientist for over 20 years. His research has been funded by UKRI, The Royal Society, philanthropy and several industrial partners. His research team is developing agritech and biotech innovations in collaboration with multinational companies in the agrochemical and FMCG sectors. He holds several patents that are being developed for licencing agreements with relevant industrial partners. His research group also works with farmers, food-processing SMEs and other stakeholders in Africa to develop strategies for building climate resilience into the food production ecosystem.
Additionally, Steve has business interests in the mining sector and has contributed immensely to corporates through directorships (executive and non-executive) on the boards of a private company in London and a commercial bank in Zimbabwe.
